Tasting over 100 handcrafted beers from over 30 breweries
Touring the Sudwerk Brewery

Enjoying delicious beer brat sandwiches
Learning the secrets from area brewmasters
Receiving a commemorative tasting glass just for attending
Listening to live music

When: Saturday June 2, 2PM- 5PM

Admission: $35 in advance or $40 at the door

All proceeds go to Citizens Who Care, a private non-profit organization which serves the elderly and their family caregivers in Yolo County through its offices located in Davis and Woodland.

Davis Farmers Market Listed in Top 10 List

Davis’ Farmers Market was picked as one of the 10 great places to shop at a farmers market in a recent USA Today Travel article. Here is what they had to say about our local Farmers Market.

On Wednesday nights the Davis social calendar revolves around “Picnic in the Park.” The market concert series includes food vendors, beer and wine sales, rock climbing, and kids activities. “On this long green lawn, people are throwing Frisbees and children are running around. A very social atmosphere,” Mais says. Shoppers find the bounty of California, with berries, figs, olive oil, chestnuts, asparagus and dozens of other offerings.

We couldn’t agree more with the ranking.  A Farmers Market is a perfect fit for the Davis community and our rich agricultural heritage. Just one more reason we love calling Davis “Home”.

Davis Farmers Market – Local Davis at Its Best

Picnic in the Park is underway thru Oct. 24, 21012 and runs every Wednesday evening from 4:30-8:30 pm. This is much more than your typical farmers market.

From their site:

Bring the whole family, shop the Market and enjoy the International Food Faire and beer and  wine garden. Kids activities include Bouncing Bungalows, and Rocknasium’s  rock-climbing wall. Save the Date!  The 98th annual Picnic Day is next Saturday, April 21st.  A local tradition showcasing Davis, Picnic Day is a huge crowd-pleaser.

The University of California, Davis proudly presents the 98th annual Picnic Day on Saturday, April 21. Picnic Day showcases the richness of diversity and achievement at UC Davis and the surrounding community in the areas of research, teaching, service, and campus life. You, your family and friends are cordially invited to attend this all-day premier event with education and fun for all ages.

More than 200 events will take place throughout campus and will include exhibits, shows, competitions, demonstrations, entertainment, animal and athletic events, Student Organization Faire, Multicultural Children’s Faire, Parade and much more. All events and parking are free!
